In principle, the JSLA only admits institutional members, but individual members are also accepted in special cases.

Conditions
The member institution needs to fulfill the following qualifications:
(1)be involved in research, reference, record management, and other special library activities
(2)be able to make a contribution to the JSLA
(3)employ at least one full-time pension who is involved in the above activities

Special memberships and supporting memberships are required to meet other qualifications: consult with your regional chapter.
